Electricity leaks

DSC_0876_edited.jpg
The current leakage is that one part of the system constantly drawing power from the car battery, even the engine is shut off and that could cause the loss of engine grain. There may be leakage currents because of the following:
  • Car wiring insulation failure
  • Incorrectly installed devices (alarm system, amplifiers, TVsets, sound system etc.)
  • The short circuit from collosion
In case of daily car usage, the current leak is compensated with the charging of engine via generator, but should the car be not parked for long time, the current leak will drain all battery power and the battery could be drained before its ages.
Symptoms (Similar sysmptoms to a wearing of the battery)
1. A short circuit may cause excessive or constant current draw and drain your battery over 1-2 nights, battery will be drained before its ages.
2. Once you jump starting, alternator works fine and recharge battery till its full capacity (full capacity or not depending on how long you drive or quality of your vehicle's alternator). The battery lose its power again overnight.
What to do?
Electricity leakage is one of the worst problems nobody want to experience but it is sometimes inevitable. The recommended way is to send your car to garage as soon as you can. To ensure that your car has electricity leaking, turn off your car engine and remove the cable from the battery minus terminal and carefully touch it back to battery minus post. The terminal sparks brightly when they touch meaning the current leaks while the engine is off.
