Water Cell Batteries in Thailand are Lead Acid-based batteries which often use sulphuric acid as the major component of the electrolyte. The electrolyte is liquid form which flows freely within the cell plates. The electrolyte contains 38% of acid and 62% of pure distilled water. This type of battery is required to refill distilled water during a period of time depending on the uses of your car and your type of automobile.

Friendly price, durable, long lifespan (depending on maintenance) 

require regular maintenance, if you forget to refill distilled water battery could die faster than usual.

MF Battery stands for maintenance free battery, in Thailand, all MF Batteries are regulated Lead Acid Battery. You still can see the lids on top of battery meaning users still need to refill distilled water if it requires depending on types of your vehicles. As the cell plate technology has been evolved in order to reduce the water consumption, you may no need to refill distilled water or only few times depending your vehicle system.

This type of battery can also be called "Hybrid Battery"

Suitable for users who don't have time to look after battery (refill distilled water every 6 months)

Not suitable for heavy used cars, lifespan is shorter than comparable water battery

SMF Battery

SMF Battery in Thailand is still considered as regulated lead acid battery, which is already filled with the electrolyte solution and thoroughly charged from the manufacturers. The SMF Battery quality is controlled by manufacturers’ standard. The batteries are sealed completely. Users do not need to refill distilled water during its lifespan. Due to the high improvement of its cell plates together with double sealed cover, it leads to reduce the water consumption to zero. Beside that, SMF Battery also creates higher CCA Value.

The lifetime of battery depends on your vehicle.

Suitable for users who don't have time to look after battery, no need to refill distilled water

More expensive, not suitable for cars with gas installation

AGM Battery

AGM (Absorbent Glass Material) use the same chemistry as flooded lead-acid batteries, but rather than a pool of acidic water, the electrolyte is composed of glass fibre mats soaked in sulfuric acid. The case is completely sealed which allows for a compact, maintenance-free battery. AGM batteries are designed for fast recharge and deliver steady flow of power. 

Extremely reliable batteries, requiring no regular maintenance and suitable for European cars with lots of functions like BMW, Proche or Mercedez etc. Also, they are sealed cases it allows batteries to be stored or transported in any orientation

Expensive, very heavy, can be permanently damaged by incorrect charging

EFB Battery

EFB Batteries (Enhanced flooded batteries) are widely used in vehicles with entry-level start-stop systems, usually without recovery of braking energy. AGM and EFB are similar to each other but they are actually developed by different technology. EFB batteries are designed with unique technology to meet the demands of higher specification vehicles like Start Stop, Regenerative Braking, and Passive Boost. 

Suitable for Start-Stop system cars, greater cyclic durability when operating in a reduced state of charge( typical of stop start system),  Resistance to deep recharge

Deep Cycle Battery

Deep cycle battery is a battery designed to be regularly deeply discharged (up to 70-80% of its capacity before recharging). Deep cycle batteries provide a long, steady stream of power and are designed to be discharged and regarded regularly. Deep cycle batteries are often used for recreational vehicles, boats, golf cart or solar panels. 

Provide steady flow of power over a long period of time, durable for regular discharge and recharge, suitable for solar panels, goft carts, boats, or other plug-in electronics
